Darryl Riddell, appointed by Washington County (2025), has more than 50 years of experience in aviation. He spent 30 years as an agricultural pilot, operating a flying service in Brinkley, Arkansas, before relocating to West Helena in 1973, where he managed a Fixed Base Operator (FBO) for 40 years. In addition to aviation, he farmed in East Arkansas, operated an aircraft paint shop for 20 years, and has been involved in aircraft sales for 55 years.
He served as a commissioner for the Arkansas Department of Aeronautics for 25 years, including multiple terms as chairman, and was inducted into the Arkansas Aviation Hall of Fame. Darryl was a member of the Arkansas Agricultural Aviation Board and served five years on the Fayetteville Airport Board.
