1-800-Flights Offers Air Travelers One Toll-Free Number To Check Flight Status Nationwide New Service Helps U.S. Flyers Contend with Delays

HOUSTON, TX (Oct. 1, 2007) - 1-800-Flights, a new media company providing toll-free phone access to flight status for nearly every commercial passenger flight arriving and departing the U.S. daily, has officially launched. With U.S. flight delays reaching 13-year highs in recent months, 1-800-Flights offers travelers fast, convenient access to continuously updated flight status information by phone, using voice-recognition technology.

A call to 1-800-Flights accesses flight status for 141 domestic and international airlines - covering 432 U.S. commercial airports and 173 international airports. Callers receive flight status, terminal and gate information. A short sponsorship message plays while the caller's flight information is being retrieved. Similar to other recently-launched mobile media companies, 1-800-Flights' revenue model is based on delivering a valuable free service for users while delivering a qualified audience for advertisers.

Offering reliable data and convenience, 1-800-Flights combines continuously updated flight status information from an industry leading source, FlightStats, with interactive voice response technology provided by Voxeo Corporation.

"The idea behind 1-800-Flights is to offer U.S. air travelers a simpler, more convenient way to check flight status while offering advertisers a one-to-one opportunity to reach these affluent, educated consumers," said Sam Stolbun, president of 1-800-Flights.

Stolbun added that 1-800-Flights offers another unique advantage over the call-in service provided by each major airline. "Information from 1-800-Flights is more comprehensive," he said. "For example, flights marketed by the major airlines are often operated by another carrier under code sharing arrangements. 1-800-Flights will have the latest status on the operating carrier flight while the marketing airline may not."

1-800-Flights also provides continuously updated flight status online at www.1800flights.net.

1-800-Flights is a privately-held company headquartered in Houston, Texas. The management team is comprised of successful entrepreneurs and innovative strategists who saw a timely opportunity to make checking flight status easier for the seasoned and occasional traveler and to develop a unique new media opportunity for advertisers. They plan continued enhancements to improve the service and value of 1-800-Flights for both users and sponsors.

Advertisers who want more information about sponsorship opportunities on 1-800-Flights can call 866-447-9937 or visit www.1800flights.net.

2. How early should I be at the airport before a flight?
Federally mandated security measures are in place at Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA). The new measures require travelers to be aware of changes in baggage check-in and security screening. They also require extra travel time. Please call your airline to confirm your flight before going to the airport and to receive its recommendation on when you should arrive at the airport. Flight schedules vary throughout the day and, in general, flights scheduled during XNA’s daily peak travel periods when more flights are scheduled (5:30 am to 7:00 am, 10:30 am to 1:00 pm, and 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm) will require passengers to allot more time for ticketing, baggage check-in and security screening. The telephone numbers for each of XNA’s air carriers can be found by going to their websites.

American Airlines recommended arrival times:

Domestic Travel, No Baggage - 60 minutes
Domestic Travel, Checking Baggage - 90 minutes
Domestic Travel, Checking In an Unaccompanied Minor - 120 minutes (2 hours)

Northwest Airlines recommended arrival times - Allow 75 minutes for check-in for domestic flights

Continental Airlines recommended arrival times - Allow 60 minutes for check-in. You must be at the gate 15 minutes prior to departure.

Delta Airlines recommended arrival times - Allow 60 minutes for check-in.

U.S. Airways recommended arrival times - Allow 60 minutes for check-in.

3. Can I pick up or drop off passengers at curbside again?
Yes. The curbside in front of the XNA terminal is open to private vehicles for passenger drop-off and pick-up only. Drivers cannot wait in their vehicles or park along the curbside. All unattended vehicles will be cited and towed.

4. Can I wait at the gate for passengers? If not, where can I wait?
Unfortunately, non-ticketed persons cannot have access to gate areas. Federal regulations now prohibit non-ticketed persons from going beyond passenger security screening at all U.S. airports. Please meet your arriving party in the terminal baggage claim area or terminal curbside. Announcements are made to arriving passengers that they can meet their welcoming parties in these two areas. Airlines will accommodate requests by individuals meeting passengers with special needs, elderly, and unaccompanied minors. Please check with the airlines directly.

19. What does XNA stand for?
Every airport today has a unique three-letter identifier to streamline the process of tracking the millions of items of airport data transmitted daily, including flight plans and weather reports.

When XNA was opened in November 1998, a three-letter identifier was assigned to the airport. Since airports have been around since the early 1900s, most of the identifiers that are relevant to Northwest Arkansas have already been taken. XNA was the only one left that made any sense. We like to think it stands for Xtra Nice Airport. It could also be interpreted as X (signifying crossroads) of Northwest Arkansas. The letters otherwise have no meaning.
